How to Change and Style Your Valorant Riot ID
In Riot Games' tactical shooter Valorant, your name appears prominently in the match scoreboard, the round MVP screen, and the fast-paced kill feed. Having a unique, stylized Riot ID lets your opponents and teammates know you mean business.
Official Riot Games Naming Architecture
Unlike older games where names were locked to a single username, Riot uses the Riot ID system, consisting of two parts:
- Game Name (Up to 16 Characters): The primary display name shown above your agent in-game and in the kill feed. It must be between 3 and 16 characters in length.
- Tagline (3 to 5 Characters): The trailing hashtag identifier (e.g.
#NA1,#EUW, or#ACE). You can customize your tagline with letters and numbers to match your esports team or clan.
Riot Vanguard & Kill Feed Font Compatibility
Valorant runs proprietary font rendering engines protected by Vanguard anti-cheat. Obscure emoji characters or glitchy Zalgo text are blocked or render as black blank boxes on the in-game scoreboard. Our tool filters out incompatible glyphs, providing clean Small Caps, Double-Struck, Japanese Brackets 「」, and verified gaming symbols (like 亗, ツ, and 彡) that render 100% in Valorant.
